I remember awhile back writing about how hospitals should really get into the hospitality business. I can handle the basic stuff: kid with cancer, current hospital visit due to serious infection of unknown origin, sleeping at bedside with alarms going off, the cafeteria closing at 9:00 P.M., etc. We are in an isolation room and the last time I was here, there was no hot water. Not a big deal, but we are stressed and could use a warm shower. The good thing is that after months of showering and only having a hand towel to available to dry off with, I was surprised to find bath towels on the linen cart! I am thankful for this and testimonial that things can change when brought to people’s attention. Little things mean a lot.
