Many people have never had scans so I thought I would show you what it looks like. If you don’t like small spaces, getting a scan can be a real problem. I has my first scan when I was 2 years old for my retinoblastoma. On March 22, I had a bone scan (pictures below). This time I had to get poked to start an IV because I did not have a central line anymore. I had to get an injection of a radioactive dye that would glow if there was any cancer in my bones. On March 24th I had my other two scans, a CT scan of my chest and an MRI of my head. I needed to have an IV again because they also inject me with a dye. All my scans were clear!
